Glasgow Museums Resource Centre
Primary one went to the resource museum.
Once inside we met Harry and Billy who talked to us about what we might take and see on a trip to the beach. We knew lots of answers because we have been finding out about holidays in school. We met Sammy the seagull!
We made our own picture from real objects.
We went inside the special pod where many beautiful and expensive pictures are stored when they are not on display in other museums or Galleries
We looked carefully at three different sea painting. One was nearly one hundred years old, and one was painted by an artist called Hugh Cameron, the same second name as our teacher.
Which painting do you like best?
We had a great time and enjoyed seeing and making seaside pictures. Mrs Cameron was very proud of our excellent behaviour. All too soon it was time to come back to our school.
