Fitness Fun in Primary 3/2

Thursday gym times with Mrs Hepburn in Term 1 were all about getting fit! Each session had a warm-up, stretching and then lots of effort in building strength and stamina with a circuit or repeated sets of exercises.

The circuit had shuttle runs, skipping, hula-hooping, sit-ups and step-ups and the exercises included jogging and skipping, star jumps, can-can, spotty dog, line jumps and jumping twists.
Yes, it was hard work but the children had fun and still managed enough energy to finish each session with a game or team races. Check out their effort in the photos.
