What is the Glendale Parent Council?

The Parent Council is a group of Glendale parents whose primary role is to support the school through fundraising.  We also represent the views and ideas of the parents and guardians of Glendale pupils and provide an additional way in which Glendale staff can communicate with parents and carers.  The Parent Council is part of the Glendale School community and committed to working with teachers to achieve the best for our children. We meet regularly to discuss and plan activities that help to support teaching and learning at Glendale.

What does the Glendale Parent Council do?

Our past achievements and successes include:

- P1 Parent & Carers, coffee morning/roof garden tea party

- Glendale Women’s group

- Helping to organise and run the annual Halloween Party

- Helping to run the annual Winter Fair

- Creating a Glendale cook book

- Creating a Glendale Bag For Life

- Fundraising through Rag Bag Collections

- Holding an annual Garden Party to improve Glendale grounds

Our priorities for the coming session, are:

Who can be a member of the Glendale Parent Council?

Anyone who has a child attending Glendale Primary School can become a member of the Parent Council.  We welcome parents and carers who want to come along to meetings regularly AND those who cannot commit to coming to every meeting but want to be involved and help out when they can.
