Pollok House visit for Primary 6

This week, to bring our Victorians topic to an end, Primary 6 visited Pollok House to attend a Victorian Servants workshop. We were met by Mrs Mac, the Housekeeper, and taken to a room where we were dressed up as Victorian servants. From Butlers to Cooks and Maids to Gardeners, we all had a role (and looked great all dressed up!!). We then went for a tour of Pollok House and learned about the different jobs that were done in each of the areas of the house. This visit tied in beautifully with our learning in school, and made the whole topic come to life. We really feel we have experienced life as a Victorian servant. Thanks to all involved!

All dressed up!
