Glendale attend launch of Foundation Glasgow Exhibition

Children from Primary 7 and Primary 7/6 (who had all been in last year's Primary 6/5) were very kindly invited to attend the opening of the 'Foundation Glasgow' exhibition at The Lighthouse in Glasgow's City Centre yesterday. The children were involved in a topic last seesion which allowed them to understand more about the roots of Glasgow, dating back to Roman times. In particular, the children learned about a slave girl called Verecunda, who lived and died along the Antonine wall in Roman times. Verecunda features in the exhibition, and it was lovely for the children to see part of their studies, and their heritage, come alive in this exhibition. Many thanks to all who were involved in organising Glendale attending this event, it was a wonderful experience for us!
