MAY 2013
The Eco children have returned again to the allotment. It is such a lovely place - so calm and peaceful, full of beautiful flowers and insects - and right here in Pollokshields.
We helped Mark from The Hidden Gardens weed and plant out the vegetable patches
There is already radishes to pick and have a taste!
Our favourite part is insect hunting! - What can you see?
We look forward to returning after the holidays to see what has grown.
AUGUST 2013
The Eco.Com returned to the allotment to harvest the fruit and vegetables.
There is still lots of work to be done .
Watering and bulb planting.
We look at all the different allotments which are full of beautiful flowers and vegetables.
These pumpkins will be fabulous at Halloween!!
These apples are so tasty straight from the trees.
SEPTEMBER 2013
We had great fun today . First we had to find all the ingredients for making soup.
Can you recognise our vegetables? Potatoes, leeks, onions, courgettes and beetroot.
Next they are washed chopped and put in the pot.
And then not long to wait until tasting time .....the verdict.. ....yummy!!
Another job today was to gather seeds from the flowers, to dry and have ready for next sping.
